Gugulethu Ndebele
Chief Executive Officer

Ms Gugulethu Ndebele joined Save the Children South Africa on 1st April 2014. Ms Ndebele (‘Gugu’) joins us after a long and distinguished career with the Department of Basic Education where since 2007, she was Deputy Director General responsible for social mobilisation and support services (including a range of health-promoting programmes) and immediately prior to that as Chief Director: FET Colleges from 2005. Amongst other qualifications, Gugu is the proud possessor of an MSc in Organisational Change and Development, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Adult Education. She brings with her not only a wealth of technical and leadership experience in a pivotal aspect of child development but also a profound commitment to promoting the welfare of all children in South Africa.
